There are large fans in the vineyards to prevent frost. The fans invert the air layers - pulling the warmer air from above under the cooler air, to protect the vines.
Mondavi's cellar where wine is stored in oak barrels for quite some time. The oak adds flavor to the wine. The barrels cost about $500 each and are good for about 4 years, then they are used for cheaper wine.
