The house one of the Beringer brothers used to live in, now has the gift shop and tasting bar. Beringer currently has a commercial running that shows this house.
Very old oak barrels that are no longer used to store wine. These were once used to hold wine ready to drink. The larger barrels in the back are actually vats, often for fermentation. They are too big for the oak flavor to affect all the wine in them and therefore are not used for flavoring.
The underground tunnels built to keep the wine stored in high humidity and at low temperatures. These tunnels are also in the commercial. They are still used but Beringer also has state-of-the-art above ground buildings.
Grape vines like this grow all along the roads thru Napa Valley. The vines must be about four years old before they can be harvested for wine. They usually can be harvested for as long as 20 years after that, sometimes even more!
