		Spring 2001, view from the ferry ride to Liberty Island. I'm lucky I took this picture, it's the only one I have of the towers.
		At this point both towers are on fire. Liberty State Park was closed but I was on the road near it.
		The south tower had just fallen, only one tower remains standing. I am in another part of Jersey City at this point.
		Later that day, rescue workers evacuating downtown Manhatten by ferry and boat into Jersey City.
		This is the view from Grand St. Jersey City, it use to have a perfect view of the towers.
		Downtown Manhatten full of smoke, early evening September 11, taken from Liberty State Park. Smoked filled every space between the buildings.
Seeing this tragedy up close was unbelievable. The people who were evacuated to Jersey City all looked fine. Surprisingly no one was covered in ash and only a couple were bandaged. Most seemed in shock and some were very upset. Seeing how smoke-filled such a huge area was I could only imagine how hard it must be for the rescue workers. The smoke billowed for days, only after about the 4th day did it seem to let up at all.
